The Fowlerville High School Interact Club is up and running and has been growing each year. In it's 3rd year,  there are currently around 20-25 students that regularly attend monthly meetings. The club is an extension of the Fowlerville Rotary and Rotary International clubs.  It's primary purpose is to give back to our community through a variety of service projects.

In August, the students participated in the United Way Day of Caring by having a food drive and donated a large amount of items to the Fowlerville Impact Center. In October the club got out their rakes and gloves and did a fall cleanup at Alan's Park in Fowlerville. Future projects include a winter bake sale and spring humane society collection. One ongoing project the Interact Club has is Blessing's in a Backpack. Each week a group of high school students sort  and pack bags of food for about 65 Smith Elementary students to take home for the weekend. This project is sponsored by both our local and international Rotary organizations.  Their support is essential for this program to exist and the club is grateful for their support.

On a final note, the Rotary club also helps send one of our officers to the RYLA program each spring which is gives the student an opportunity to learn about leadership and community service. This is a great thing for our students be able to participate in.
