Thanks to  Dawn Horton, for her time and effort in scheduling the events for our Rotary Club, we were honored to have hosted some amazing people this past month.

Old sayings such as, "March winds", "April Showers Bring May Flowers", "Red sky at night, sailor's delight; red sky in the morning, sailor's warning", these and many more remind me so much of just a small part of what my mama and grandma taught me, and I love passing them down to my kids to give them a glimpse of my childhood.
What does all of this have to do with our Rotary Club Newsletter? Veteran's Day, Senior's Day and Farmer's Day.  We had the honor of hosting these fine people during the month of March who are all, in some way or another, weaved into our past and future generations. I, for one, had such a great time seeing everyone (although I was not in attendance for the Farmer's Day) and getting acquainted with new faces and re-kindling relationships with others I have known yet not seen in a long time. There were also quite a few I see on a regular basis and love staying in contact with them.
When you see any of these people, whether on the street, in the store, or wherever you have privilege to be in contact, take a minute to say hello, ask how they are doing, and indulge them with your time and a small chat. They will love it, appreciate, and you may even be blessed enough to walk away with having learned something new. After all, Mama always said, "You never go a day, without learning something new".
